Positions Available :
Main Responsibilities:
Providing and coordinating of:
- Service delivery of staff and resident meals and lodgings
- Building, facilities & equipment enhancement and maintenance
- Laundry & linen services
- Contract services & agreements for purchase/renewal of services (e.g. security, cleaning, pest control)
- Sourcing & procurement of equipment and materials
- Store and inventory management
- Transport services
- Fire/Workplace safety
- Business IT, PA system and telephone services
- Work with nursing in infection control measures and audits
- Support in licensing/accreditation of the nursing home and its services
- Annual budgeting
Responsible for critical operational functions such as:
- Environment cleanliness and sanitation of the nursing home
- Emergency preparedness and Business Continuity Plans by conducting exercises and drills to ensure the services’ preparedness to respond expeditiously in a crisis situation
- Develop operational workflow processes and maintain operational manuals for the Nursing Home
- Assist Executive Director in developing Key Performance Indicators to measure progress and sustainability of services
- Co-ordinate collaborative processes with internal partners, particularly within the SJSM Church, SAMH and SACS service units to ensure smooth and effective maintenance and disposition of records (Medical Records)
- Manage service agreements, conduct market survey and review rental rates for renewal
- Any ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
- General degree or equivalent from a recognised institution
- At least 5 years of working experience in a similar capacity
- Team player, empathy, good communication skills
- Familiar with MS office suite/Google Workspace
Job Description:
- Participate in activities to improve the quality of care for residents
- Attend to the needs of the residents and ensure their safety, comfort and well-being and report residents’ needs to nurses
- Check, monitor and record residents’ vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respirations and blood pressure
- Ensure the comfort and good personal hygiene of the residents under her/his care, e.g. bed bath/shower bath, changing of clothes and bedsheets, keeping them clean and dry
- Assist in the transfer and positioning of non-ambulant residents
- Assist in serving meals and drinks; and feeding residents
- Maintain accurate documentation of care given
- Alert nurses to emergency situations
Job Requirements:
- Required to do morning and afternoon shifts but no night shift. 5 day work week (may include rotated Saturday)
- WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care)/ITC in Healthcare (Inpatient Nursing)
